JAMES

BIOGRAPHY

My name is… James

Job Title… Outdoor Instructor

Original Country… Canada

Specialising in… Moose riding, igloo building, and syrup making

Previous experience… Lifeguarding, leading students on multi-night backpacking trips, and fist fighting bears. I’ve spent the past 5 summers working at a Canadian overnight camp up in the mountains, and both the adventures I’ve had and the people I’ve met are some of my most treasured. Nothing motivates me more than pushing young people to realise exactly how much they really can do!

Why I love Lakewood… It gives me the chance to pursue my passion of youth outdoor education, while still allowing me to explore New Zealand (Also, the animals)
