Holiday Camps | Lakewood Lodge

Enjoy a Kiwi experience on real New Zealand farmland at Lakewood Lodge Adventure holiday camps. Meet new friends, be well looked after by our Camp Mum, have lots of scrummy food, challenge yourself with our adventure activities or relive your favourite moments from past camps. Enjoy day and evening organised activities with our fantastic, trained staff.

Our Adventure Camps run from Tuesday 10am to Friday 3pm, usually every week of the New Zealand school holidays.

Campers are strongly encouraged not to bring any electronic devices. They are with us to experience the outdoors and have fun, not be on their phones! Our experienced Camp Mum will take charge of any medication or dietary requirements.

The food! Campers will get breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and dessert, you can be assured they won’t go hungry!

Campers will experience our 7 main camp activities – Horse Games, Kayaking, Climbing Wall, Flying Fox, Archery, Frisbee Golf and our Low Ropes Course. On the Wednesday everyone will go to Survival for the day where they will learn how to collect firewood to make fires using various techniques and cook their lunch, learn about collecting water, hut making and many more exciting challenges. The Survival Experience is finished off by our famous Mudrun challenge where they will head back to the Lodge for showers afterwards.

Other day time activities that may be experienced at Lakewood Lodge on our Adventure Camps include Waterslide, J-Ball, pool & table tennis competitions, Lakewood Amazing Race, Ironperson Challenge, Cooking, Photo Hunt, Chess, Minefield, Tug of War, Top Person Competition and Animal Feeding.

Making sure we tire everyone out so you sleep well, our night time activities include our Burma Trail, Firepit with toasted marshmallows, Spotlight, Y Games, Games in the Hall, Trash 2 Fashion Show and on the final night it is always our Concert followed by our famous Disco.

We finish on the Friday afternoon with a prizegiving that parents are welcome to attend before taking your camper home for some much needed sleep. Some have been known to be asleep before getting to the top of the Lakewood Lodge driveway.
