Specialising in… riding lessons, education on horsemanship and building connection between young people and horses

Previous Experience… I used to work as a teacher back in Finland (specialising in music and special education). I grew up with lots of horses around and have broad experience from showjumping to natural horsemanship and equine assisted activities/counselling.

Why I love Lakewood… I love to see young people building trust with the horses, having new experiences and being proud of themselves. Nothing makes me happier than seeing that smile on our campers faces! I get to work with both kids and horses here and I am so grateful for that every day. Also we have a wonderful, supportive team here!!

My Favourite Movie… Tove and also any Moomin movie!!

Favourite Lakewood Lodge Animal… You’d think I’d say the horses.. well, they are awesome but my absolute favourite animal is the little cat Dribbles that comes to greet me every day.

Favourite Food at the lodge… Anything that Nancy cooks!
