My name is… Charlotte

Job Title… Outdoor Instructor

Original Country… United Kingdom

Specialising in… Appreciating nature and pointing out wildlife to everyone.

Previous Experience… I worked for the United Kingdom’s largest outdoor camp provider, PGL, as an Activity Instructor/Group Leader (Study) for four seasons. I then went on to become a Tutor and sequentially a Senior Tutor at the Field Studies Council, which is an environmental education charity in the UK. In addition, I have completed my Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and I am a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader.

Why I love Lakewood… Getting to meet lots of new people, supporting guests to challenge themselves and grow their comfort zones, and learning amazing things about Aotearoa/New Zealand from our staff team and visitors. Plus, the view from Low Ropes hill across Lake Whangape is pretty special!
